L'orphelinat « Le Bon Samaritain » a vu le jour en 2001, grâce au Pasteur Benoît Tehi Pouhin et Innocente Kanon Pouhin. L’orphelinat a pour objectif d'accueillir les enfants orphelins et les enfants en difficulté (abandonnés ou dont les parents sont décédés) afin de leur donner un meilleur cadre de vie et d’éducation. L’orphelinat compte, à ce jour, une centaine d’enfants et d’adolescents.

Ce 1er février 2021, un incendie, dû à un court-circuit électrique, a complétement détruit le bâtiment des filles qui accueillait 49 enfants de 0 à 10 ans. Les enfants ont été évacués à temps mais le bâtiment des filles a subi des dommages considérables (toiture, électricité, plomberie, isolation, mobiliers).

La somme récoltée sera utilisée pour participer au financement des travaux de rénovation de l’orphelinat :

Historique de l'orphelinat « Bon Samaritain » :

L’orphelinat « Bon Samaritain » a vu le jour le 22 Juillet 2001, grâce au Pasteur Benoît Tehi Pouhin et Innocente Kanon Pouhin.

C’est à leur domicile, qu’ils commencent par héberger 5 orphelins. Arrivée au nombre de 10 enfants, la « grande famille » décide de déménager dans un appartement plus grand.

C’est avec l’aide de l’état et de « Link Niger », que la construction d’un grand orphelinat débute en Novembre 2005 à la sortie de Niamey (capitale).

En Juin 2006, la famille Tehi Pouhin et les 25 orphelins, emménagent dans le nouvel orphelinat. 3 ans plus tard, l’orphelinat composé de 2 dortoirs, d’un bâtiment administratif et de la maison familiale, héberge 74 orphelins dont l'âge varie de 3 jours à 14 ans et emploie 6 femmes chargées des enfants, une tresseuse, 2 éducateurs, un sociologue de l'état et 2 gardiens. Plusieurs bénévoles les assistent dans leurs tâches.

Les enfants sont éduqués et formés en vue de leur réinsertion dans la vie sociale. A leur majorité (18ans), ils ont le libre choix pour leur futur métier.

Support the "Bon Samaritain" orphanage in Niger affected by the fire

The “Bon Samaritain” orphanage was created in 2001 by Pastor Benoît Tehi Pouhin and Innocente Kanon Pouhin. It aims to welcome orphans and children in difficulty (abandoned or without resources) in order to give them a better living and educational environment. The orphanage currently accounts for a hundred children and adolescents.

On February 1, 2021, a fire, due to an electrical short-circuit, completely destroyed the girls' building which housed 49 children from 0 to 10 years old. The children were evacuated just in time but the girls' building suffered considerable damage (roof, electricity, plumbing, insulation, furniture).

Support the orphanage through this solidarity fund and make a gesture to contribute to the renovations before the end of April 2021 :

The money collected will be used to help finance the renovation of the orphanage:

- € 6,000 = roof of the building

- 8,000 € = roof + painting of the building

- 10,000 € = roof + painting of all buildings + bedding

The "Bon Samaritain" orphanage was created on July 22, 2001, by Pastor Benoît Tehi Pouhin and Innocente Kanon Pouhin.

They began to house 5 orphans at their home. When there were 10 children, the “big family” decided to move to a bigger apartment.

It was with the help of the state and the organization "Link Niger" that the construction of a large orphanage began in November 2005 in Niamey, Niger (the capital).

In June 2006, the Tehi Pouhin family and the 25 orphans moved into the new orphanage. 3 years later, the orphanage (made up of 2 dormitories, an administrative building, and the family home) accommodates 74 orphans from 3 days to 14 years old and employs 6 women in charge of the children, a braider, 2 educators, a sociologist of the state and 2 guards. Several volunteers assist them in their tasks.

Children are educated and trained for their reintegration into social life. When they reach the age of 18, they have the free choice for their future profession.
