The Macron government, in its determination to impose an unjust and unnecessary reform on a population already shaken by the economic consequences of the neoliberal agenda, continues to ignore the will of the people. Faced with such a delirious kakistocracy, we have only one defence: amplifying a massive, sustained and renewable movement to block the economy.
Our activists are ready to go all the way, but a day on strike means a day without pay. In a context where the cost of living keeps worsening, the support and solidarity of everyone will help them continue the fight to defend our common good.
Strike funds exist for some sectors, but often the smallest organisations cannot afford them. However, the Departmental Union that federates the SUD/Solidaires unions in Ille-et-Vilaine can help coordinate the sharing of contributions among our members on strike.
This initiative therefore aims to accompany the strike. Solidaires 35 strives by all means to increase solidarity with the strikers, particularly the most precarious.
We will use our union communication channels: posting on our website, emailing via union delegates for distribution to all our members.
The money collected by Solidaires 35 will be redistributed to local unions, enabling them to top up local support funds and organise solidarity close to local realities. The amounts distributed to each union will be determined by our union council, according to each union's needs and the funds available.
Solidaires 35 is a trade union organisation. As such, it has its accounts certified and publishes them every year. Everyone will be able to verify that the money was actually paid to the strikers.
Solidaires 35 commits to collecting no personal information during this campaign (from collection to distribution of the collected funds).
And if you hesitate to contribute via an online platform, you can always send us a cheque by post, further proof that we do indeed exist in the real world.
