#SyrieRamadan2017 - 5 euros = 1 Iftar

Comme chaque année, lors du mois de Ramadan, Free Syria Lyon offre des repas chauds aux familles sinistrées en Syrie pour la rupture du jeune (Iftar).

Nous tentons de faire travailler les artisans locaux en achetant des repas complets directement dans leurs restaurants, puis notre équipe sur place effectue la distribution aux familles.
Nous souhaitons faire en sorte que dès le premier jour de Ramadan, les familles puissent bénéficier d'un vrai repas.
Un repas complet coûte 5€ en moyenne, notre vœu serait que cette année, nous battions notre record et que nous puissions offrir plus de repas TOUT LE LONG DU MOIS.

QUI SOMMES-NOUS ?

Malheureusement (et heureusement), depuis 6 ans maintenant, FREE SYRIA LYON organise des convois humanitaires en Syrie (Idlib, Nord de Hama et provinces Nord de Homs).
L'association expédie des aides de premières nécessités : alimentaire, médical, hygiène et vestimentaire, et tâche d'effectuer des expéditions au moins tous les 2 mois.
La guerre causant de plus en plus de dégâts, nous tentons de satisfaire au minimum les demandes primaires des médecins et des familles sinistrées.

Nous sommes une organisation humanitaire sans intermédiaires : le suivi des convois se fait de l'expédition des camions jusqu'à leur déchargement et la redistribution des dons en Syrie.
Notre équipe qui est en France gère les collectes et la logistique sur le territoire Français et Turc et nos membres Syriens en Syrie réceptionnent le matériel pour le dispatcher dans les hôpitaux et au sein des familles.

Nous effectuons également diverses campagnes sur le terrain comme :

- les actions hivernales : financement et offre de poêles à chauffer pour les familles, achat de bois (à la tonne), le bois étant difficile d'accès en hiver.
- du Pain Pour Tous : achat de farine (25 tonnes) en Turquie pour ravitailler les fours à pain pour la confection et l'offre de pain gratuits.
- Achat d'ambulances
- Offre de viande de mouton lors de l'Aïd el Adha
- Offre de plats chauds pour la rupture du jeune en Syrie
- Aide à la reconstruction de maisons détruites par les bombardements
- Parrainages d'enfants
- etc.

As every year, during Ramadan, Free Syria Lyon offers warm dishes to families for the fast-breaking, to make sure that the families enjoy a real meal.
Through this action, we want to support the local artisans by financing and ordering the meals directly at their restaurants.
We hope that, this year, we could offer more meals than last year, so we are preparing the event early to make sure that at the first day of Ramadan we can offer a lot of fast-breaking meals.
A complete meal costs 5€ on average, our wish is to be able to offer meals DURING THE ENTIRE MONTH!!

WHO ARE WE?
Unfortunately (and fortunately), for over 6 years now, the French NGO FREE SYRIA LYON organizes humanitarian convoys to Syria (Idlib, North Hama, North Homs).
The association sends essential aids (food, medical and hygienic items and clothing) and tries to send multiples shipments per year (every two month).
Our warehouse is based in Vaulx en Velin (Lyon, France).
Beside the convoys, we manage other actions on the ground:
- Wintery actions: we buy and distribute wood stove and firewood (this year we offer in the suburbs of Damas).
- Bread for All: we buy 25 tons of floor in Turkey and supply bakeries that make bread an distribute it for free to families.
- Ambulances: we buy ambulances in France and give them to Syrian hospitals
- Free meat for Aïd el Adha: we buy sheep and offer the meat to families.
- Ramadan Actions: with 5€, we offer a free and complete warm meal to families for the fast-breaking.

- Rebuilding houses destroyed or partially destroyed by airstrikes.

- rebuilding a school in North Hama
- Child Sponsoring
- etc.
The war is worse than ever, and we are trying to satisfy the demands from the doctors inside Syria and the families in need.
We are a humanitarian organization, without any intermediary: we follow our convoys from the expedition from France to the distribution inside Syria (A team is present in France and manage the collecting part & the logistic from France to Turkey, and the other team is on the ground inside Syria to receive the trucks and do the dispatch to the hospitals and families).
