My name is Abdelkarim.

Today, I speak with great emotion to tell you what happened to me and to ask for your help. A year ago, my life turned upside down in a few seconds. While I was on my way to the hospital to visit my uncle, I was violently hit on the road.

This accident left me tetraplegic.

Since that day, my daily life has completely changed. I can no longer move as before, nor walk. Every gesture has become difficult alone, sometimes impossible.

💡 But I have not lost hope

My father fought relentlessly to help me regain my legs and we discovered a specialized rehabilitation center in Turkey.

This center supports people in my situation, with the goal of allowing them to gradually regain the use of their limbs… and, by the permission of Allah, to walk again.

Today, this is my greatest hope.

⏳ The urgency: the time I have left

For this rehabilitation to have a chance of working, it must be started within a maximum period of 1 year and a half after the accident.

It has already been 1 year. I therefore have only 6 months left to be able to seize this opportunity.

The total cost of this care amounts to €110,000.

Without this sum, I will not be able to access this rehabilitation.

A few months ago, we appealed to your generosity to allow our son Abdel Karim, who became tetraplegic following a serious motorcycle accident, to join a specialized clinic in Turkey.

After several weeks of intensive rehabilitation, the doctors are pleased with his progress. The improvements are encouraging and give us a lot of hope.

🩺 A new medical assessment

At a recent meeting, the specialists explained that the spinal cord is an extremely complex area. Despite the observed advances, the 4 months of care initially planned will unfortunately not be sufficient to reach the hoped-for objectives.

💉 A new treatment possibility

The doctors have proposed an additional injection treatment, intended for patients under 30 years old, which could promote neurological recovery and accelerate certain progress.

💰 Estimated cost:
• First 3 sessions: $14,000
• A 4th session could be necessary: $5,000
• Extension of intensive rehabilitation by 1 month: approximately €27,500

Several unforeseen expenses have also been incurred since our arrival.
