As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
We are appealing to your generosity to fund the expansion and compliance works of the At-Tawhîd Mosque in Saint-Jean-de-Maurienne.
In our town, more and more brothers and sisters wish to pray in dignified conditions; in winter, some unfortunately have to stay outside for lack of space, even though the mosque is located in a mountainous area.
Also, the mosque is not able to provide suitable conditions for worshippers during Jumu'ah and Eid prayers. We are therefore forced to relocate these gatherings to gymnasiums or municipal halls.
Within a 50 km radius, only two mosques are available, including ours, which makes this project essential for the tranquility of the community.
Primary objectives:
• Accessibility and safety: installation of an elevator, refurbishment of the stairwell and installation of guardrails compliant with PMR accessibility standards.
• Capacity: enlargement of the prayer room by relocating the toilets and ablution rooms to the exterior.
