As-salamu alaykum / Hello everyone,

Imagine not knowing where you will sleep tonight, or if you will have anything to eat. This is the harsh reality currently faced by dozens of orphaned children in Uganda.

On the ground, the dedicated Al Halalil team does remarkable work every day. A real pillar for the community, this team already organizes food parcel distributions for needy families, plants trees and digs wells.

But today, their absolute priority is the construction of an orphanage.

Currently, these children survive in extremely precarious conditions. The local mosque only offers them shelter to spend the night. During the day, for lack of premises, the children study outside, sitting on the ground. The Al Halalil team fights tirelessly to feed them, provide them with an education and teach them our religion, Islam, but it is desperately short of resources.

The good news: The Al Halalil team already owns the land! Our ultimate goal: To call on a large international NGO to take charge of building a proper educational and residential center on this plot.

But for an NGO to agree to intervene and fund the works, the Al Halalil orphanage must first be officially recognized by the Ugandan state. This is where you come in.

What will your donations be used for today? (Our 1st Milestone)

1. The Food and Educational Emergency 🍲📚: Secure the children’s daily meals (purchase of basic foodstuffs) and support their vital educational needs while the situation stabilizes.

2. Project Officialization 📜: Finance the team’s local administrative procedures to obtain the official registration of the orphanage. This is the mandatory prerequisite so that we can then approach an NGO to build the orphanage.

Why take part? In Islam, caring for an orphan is one of the most meritorious deeds. By supporting Al Halalil, you are not only filling stomachs, you are preserving these children’s faith (Deen) and giving them a dignified future. Taking part in this first step is laying the foundations of a great Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity). Without this officialization and without this immediate help, the orphanage will never come into being.
