Meriem is a little over twenty years old. She comes from Khan Younès, in Gaza.
About six months ago, she left Gaza via Rafah with her father, her 11-year-old little brother and her 7-year-old little sister. After a long journey by sea, then through Turkey and Spain, the family arrived in France, exhausted.
Shortly after their arrival, her father fell seriously ill. Hospitalized at CHU de Créteil, he passed away there. Rahmatoullahi 'alayhi.
At barely twenty, Meriem finds herself alone in a country she does not know, with the responsibility of two children.
They currently live in Gennevilliers, in a part of an apartment rented for 450 € per month.
For several months, the social services unit of the La Celle-Saint-Cloud mosque — which verified her situation — was covering this rent and providing food parcels. The association will continue the food aid, but it no longer has the means to cover the rent starting this month.
An application for social housing (115) and a request for medical coverage are in progress. Responses can take several months. This is the time that needs to be covered.

We support all our brothers and sisters from Palestine as best we can: through the duʿā, through boycott, by refusing to forget. Today we are given the opportunity to do something directly concrete — to keep a roof over the head of a Palestinian family whose name we know.
The Prophet ﷺ taught us that whoever relieves a believer of a hardship in this world, Allah will relieve them of a hardship on the Day of Resurrection. And concerning those who take care of an orphan, he joined his index and middle finger, saying that he would thus be with them in Paradise.
Here, these are two orphans aged 7 and 11, and their big sister who is supporting them single-handedly.
