I expected the answer to be: Alms do not diminish wealth..
or Give alms, it will be returned to you a hundredfold in this world and the hereafter...
But the answer was new to me, so he said confidently:
Generous donors are like martyrs .. "There is no fear for them, nor will they grieve."
So I searched and searched in the Holy Quran for the authenticity of these words!
Surah 2 Al-Baqarah - The Cow verse 274
{الَّذِينَ يُنْفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ سِرًّا وَعَلَانِيَةً فَلَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ}
"Those who spend their wealth by night and by day, secretly and publicly, have their reward with their Lord. They will have no fear, nor will they grieve"
And verse 262 of Al-Baqarah - The Cow
{الَّذِينَ يُنْفِقُونَ أَمْوَالَهُمْ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ ثُمَّ لَا يُتْبِعُونَ مَا أَنْفَقُوا مَنًّا وَلَا أَذًى ۙ لَهُمْ أَجْرُهُمْ عِنْدَ رَبِّهِمْ وَلَا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ}
"Those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah and do not follow up their spending with reminders or injury will have their reward with their Lord. No fear will be upon them, nor will they grieve"
Regarding the martyrs: verses 169 and 170 of Surah Al-Imran
169~170 من سورة آل عمران
*"وَلَا تَحْسَبَنَّ الَّذِينَ قُتِلُوا فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ أَمْوَاتًا ۚ بَلْ أَحْيَاءٌ عِندَ رَبِّهِمْ يُرْزَقُونَ فَرِحِينَ بِمَا آتَاهُمُ اللَّهُ مِن فَضْلِهِ وَيَسْتَبْشِرُونَ بِالَّذِينَ لَمْ يَلْحَقُوا بِهِم مِّنْ خَلْفِهِمْ أَلَّا خَوْفٌ عَلَيْهِمْ وَلَا هُمْ يَحْزَنُونَ"
"Do not think of those who have been killed in the way of Allah as dead. Rather, they are alive with their Lord, receiving provision"
"And rejoicing in what Allah has bestowed upon them of His bounty, and they are glad for those who have not joined them yet from behind them, that there will be no fear upon them nor will they grieve"
It was the first time we heard this comparison.
Generous donors are like martyrs .. "There is no fear for them, nor will they grieve."
Give alms and do not be afraid; trust the Master of causes. There is neither fear nor sorrow for you. *
.... So reflect and meditate ..
