The Muslim holiday called the "Festival of Sacrifice" (Aïd al-adhâ in Arabic, also called the "major feast" (Aïd el-Kebir)) is one of the major moments of the Muslim religious calendar.
Occurring during the 11th month of the Muslim year (the month of dhû al hijja), fifty days after the end of Ramadan, this holiday is the culminating moment of the great pilgrimage to Mecca, the Hajj. It is a celebration that highlights the central role of the holy site of Mecca and brings together the global Muslim community in a single gesture.
As every year, the Association Des Orphelins de Palestine - ADOP asks for your support by entrusting the cash amount of your sacrifice so that it can be turned into an offering in Palestine in general and to the Gaza Strip as a priority.
This year many Muslims will not be able to go to the holy sites for the pilgrimage. 🕋 This is an opportunity to transform YOUR obedience to God’s call into a charitable action that will be an equivalent alms to a pilgrimage.
Let us remind you that for Muslims, this holiday is also a celebration of solidarity...
Note:
1- The price of an offering varies between €250 and €300, for example in Gaza (due to the blockade imposed by the occupying forces).
2- Several people can contribute to the same sacrifice, that is to say pay a part, and the association will organize to complete it.
