Our club was recently the target of racist insults, threats and particularly serious accusations, undermining the honour and image of our century-old institution.
In the face of this unacceptable situation, the Board of Directors has decided, with the support of its legal advisors, to initiate all necessary proceedings to defend the rights, integrity and reputation of our club, our licensed members, our volunteers and our town, unfairly implicated in this matter.
The repeated media attacks and the smear campaign to which our club is subjected will also be the subject of appropriate actions before the competent courts.
Our club has always upheld the values of respect, solidarity and dignity. We cannot accept that such acts remain unpunished in a state governed by the rule of law committed to the fundamental principles of Human Rights.
Today more than ever, we need the support of all those who are attached to our history, our values and our future, in order to carry out this fight with determination and responsibility.
