Fundraising for Food Donations and Long-lasting Food Supplies – Ramadan 2025
As-salamu alaykum,
In this blessed month of Ramadan, we have the opportunity to multiply our good deeds and help those in need. We are launching a fundraiser to support orphaned children and those from needy families who reside at the Madrassah of Sebenikoro West Boubou.
This madrassah hosts children who, because of their difficult circumstances, rely on our support for their daily sustenance. The donations collected will be used to purchase long-lasting food items to ensure a balanced daily diet for these children during and after the holy month.
Why contribute?
You will be taking part in a noble cause by supporting children who have lost their parents or who come from families in need.
Sahl ibn Sa'd (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: “We will be in Paradise together with the one who cares for the orphan like this,” and he indicated with his index and middle fingers.

{ You will not attain righteousness unless you spend from what you love. And whatever you spend, Allah certainly knows it } (Surah Al 'Imran, verse 92).
You will benefit from the blessing of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala in this holy month, a month when acts of charity are especially rewarded.
The Messenger of Allah (may He be blessed and exalted) was the most generous of people, and he was particularly generous during the month of Ramadan, when Jibril would come to teach him the Qur'an. He would then become more generous than the blowing wind. (Bukhari, Muslim)
This hadith demonstrates the merit of charity especially during Ramadan.
