This fundraising does not accept donations anymore.
Since 1986, it has been possible to adopt a bench in Central Park, in other words to pay $10,000 (soit 8 760€) to have a personalized plaque on a bench of the park that you choose. You should know that this money allows Central Park to maintain the park's 9 000 benches but also the green spaces, the paths...
And for us, this will allow us to have "OUR" bench!
Please note that 2 fundraisers have already been created:
- 1st fundraiser :
At first in 2019, I had launched the fundraiser on PayPal but since PayPal stopped fundraisers at the end of 2020, I had to relaunch one on the Cotizup website.
On PayPal we managed to raise 5 694€.
- 2nd fundraiser :
Then at the beginning of 2021, I created a fundraiser on the Cotizup site.
We managed to raise 3 172€, i.e. 8 866€, which at the time corresponded to $10,000.
The problem is that for a year and even for the last 3 months, the euro has sharply fallen against the dollar.
So, as you can see just below, having recovered these 8 866€ in my account, I have just transferred $10,000 to Central Park. And precisely with the rise of the dollar and on top of that the bank fees, I therefore paid 9 560,69€, i.e. 694,69€ more than what was planned. :-(
- So here is this 3rd fundraiser to reach these 694,69€.
Since after the last fundraiser many of you asked me whether it would be possible to participate in adopting the bench because you had missed it, hadn’t seen it, or hadn’t taken the time to participate, I think this is the opportunity for latecomers to do so.
And if among the 775 people who have already contributed (see https://www.bons-plans-voyage-new-york.com/tous-les-bons-plans/nouvelles-de-new-york/ou-sera-notre-banc-a-central-park/#id13), some want to put in 1 or 2€, that will make it possible to reach the remaining 694,69€.
