Our story :

We had this small house (90 m2) built 5 years ago. We had 2 children but a 3rd decided to show up. So we took out a loan to do the extension of our home ourselves (not possible to hire professionals, too expensive). However, because of the health situation we had to dip into the loan to pay our mortgage, bills, etc., and we no longer have enough to carry out the work. The building permit is signed but we are short of €15,000. We are maxed out on repayments so it’s not possible to take out a new loan. We also accept material help from professionals (it’s a wooden raise, so if a sawmill would be willing to help us...).

I had the idea of creating this fund because I thought that apart from winning the lottery I couldn’t see how we would manage. My thoughts led me to wonder how I would live if I won the lottery. I searched for testimonials online and I came across the story of a lottery winner who anonymously gave money to people in her town to fund projects. So I’m throwing a bottle into the sea. If a lottery winner wants to help people the way they would have liked to be helped, I would be eternally grateful.

On my side I commit to providing contributors with the invoices/receipts for purchases related to the works and to show the progress of the works in photos!
