Hello, we are asking for your help to finance our next adventure on crutches and with a brace (for one of the participants) which will take place on the CORSICA RAID FEMINA from the 27th to the 1st of July 2023.

Who are we?

Anne

Living in Grust, a very small village near Gavarnie in the Pyrenees, I am a former high-level athlete who has participated in numerous adventure raids. I was able to travel to several countries thanks to the raids and the help of sponsors, until a serious skiing accident put an end to all sport. (dislocated tibial plateau, only one ligament and a failed bone graft), I had to undergo a very long and painful rehabilitation to recover the simple function of walking.

I now have to live with a knee that no longer functions as before and, as a consequence, a clear muscular deficiency in the leg and instability.

After meeting three high-level para-alpine skiers (Turin 2006, Vancouver 2010), and a profound re-evaluation on my part, I decided to reconnect with my passion with my new body.

Now I feel I have all the assets (experience, determination, knowledge of my limits and the support of those around me) to take part with my friend Soizic in the “Corsica Raid Femina”.

Soizic

Originally from Brittany, I now live between Argentat (19) and Barèges (65). I practiced high-level mountain biking for many years before trying all kinds of outdoor sports.

I launched into this adventure without really knowing what I was getting into... But Anne’s motivation did the rest! I immediately said yes to sharing this human adventure with her.

The human adventure is without a doubt much nicer and more important than the result. The goal is to go all the way with a smile!



What is it?

* A 100% FEMALE ECO-RESPONSIBLE RAID by teams of 2: multi-activities (sea kayaking, trail running, coasteering, bike and run, open-water swimming, night stage, sea canyoning, Corsican challenges).

SOLIDARITY: the organization supports the association "La Marie Do", all together against cancer.*
* ALSO IN SOLIDARITY: We have decided to represent the association "Peur de rien" which works to make life easier for disabled children in their daily lives.

_The pair: colleagues at the same company quickly discovered that they shared the same passions — the mountains and their respective sports. One for adventure raids and the other for mountain biking._

_Following her long rehabilitation, Anne adapts her disability to this mountain environment and Soizic, like a locomotive, accompanies her with complicity and kindness. Their personalities harmonize according to Anne’s goals._

_These two former high-level athletes, accustomed to podiums, have taken the bet to participate in this raid. The organizers of this incredible race agreed to welcome this extraordinary pair since certain accommodations will be made so that Anne can take part in the raid._

_Pushing oneself beyond limits is part of their DNA and they wish to cross the finish line to carry the colors of the association “Peur de Rien” and with the hope of opening the way for other people with disabilities.._
