As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
A brother from Jijel, whom I know personally because I delivered and installed audio systems in several mosques, asked me to pass this message on to you.
We know that the community, in Algeria as well as abroad, has mobilized greatly in solidarity with the people affected.
Some have unfortunately lost everything, and it is deeply sad… We ask Allah to ease them in their terrible trial. One thing that is also sad and difficult to bear: we no longer hear the adhan in some mosques because the loudspeakers have burned. And we know how important hearing the call to prayer is for the life of our mosques and our community.
For those who wish to participate, the brother has set up a collection to finance the purchase of 50 loudspeakers for 14 mosques, as well as amplifiers and microphones. The budget required for all of this equipment is estimated at €5,000.
Any contribution, whatever its amount, can help make the adhan resound again in these mosques.
May Allah greatly reward all those who contribute to this initiative, facilitate the collection and accept our deeds.
The Prophet ﷺ taught us :
"When the son of Adam dies, his deeds come to an end except in three things :
– ongoing charity,
– knowledge from which people benefit,
– a righteous child who prays for him."
(Riyad As-Sâlihîn, hadith n°1383 – reported by Muslim)
