Les Résilient‧es is a citizen-adventure documentary series. The episodes are short films in which we meet inspiring people in South America.

"Things need to change, but what can I do about it?" I have asked myself that question my whole life. And since I have always been equally amazed by travel, in 2018 I decided to spend one year in South America to meet as many inspiring people as possible, equipped with two phones and a lapel mic.

From North to South and East to West, I had the joy of meeting about a hundred committed citizens fighting to defend what was essential and threatened for them: the dignity of indigenous peoples, gender equality, animal welfare, the preservation of cultural heritage and the wild, and care for vulnerable populations are a few examples...

Episode 1: Ecuador, the Siekoya people (the updated version will be available on April 12, 2025)

In the Ecuadorian Amazon, alongside the Siekoya indigenous people, Joffre and Gilberto show us that indigenous peoples' self-determination is well underway.








Episode 2: Peru, the paths of Lamay

In this second episode, we follow Alan Manaccasa Gutiérrez in his effort to sustainably preserve wildlife, flora, archaeological sites, and the Quechua communities through his work as a tour guide.



What is this fundraiser for?

1—Post-production of the series!

I came back from South America with 150 hours of audio and video rushes offering the possibility of showcasing many citizen adventures from 12 different countries: Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, Paraguay, Brazil, Suriname, Guyane and Guyana. It was in 2019 and since then, between substantial work with Court-Jus Production, reestablishing my life and obtaining my intermittent performing-arts work status, I have only managed to complete these 2 episodes!

The time required for post-production of the series is enormous and, thanks to your support, I will be able to support in turn those who refuse to go in circles! Actually, I might even be able to offer more than 12 episodes, with a few bonus episodes!

-Promotion of higher education through scholarships for disadvantaged youth in Montevideo (Uruguay),

-Promotion of environmental management in Belém (Brazil),

-A venue promoting local visual arts in São Luís do Maranhão (Brazil)...



2—Screenings with French associations

Screen the Résilient‧es episodes and offer times for exchanges and collective questioning to encourage public initiative — "that’s our project!" as they say... Simply offer associations throughout France a tour (using low-carbon travel, namely by train) to propose screening-debates as cheaply as possible so it’s accessible to everyone!

Estimated real production value of the project:

**Because I’m a workaholic, one episode can take me 3 weeks of full-time work with voluntary help from my father, who is trained in professional mastering.

Post-production: That’s 150 hours of work per episode for all post-production from editing to color grading, including writing the narration, recording, mixing, subtitling, translation, titling... A lovely baby! For all this work under intermittent employment, that equates to 15 fees of 300€ each, i.e. 4,500€. Multiply this amount by 12 (10 episodes and 2 Bonus Episodes) = 54,000€

Music: Add 250€ to symbolically remunerate the musician Alandino, rights-holder of the theme music, who kindly agreed to grant broadcast rights for this project that aligns with his values and whom I find fair to compensate even symbolically.

Screening-debate tour using low-carbon travel: With an Avantage Adulte card and aiming for a 15-date tour, asking associations to provide only accommodation and food, we can budget up to €60 for travel (train). Counting a minimum fee of 200€ per screening day and offering the diffusion cost at €0, this comes to 3,000€ for fees and 960€ for travel expenses.

Total: The total of this careful calculation (as a producer friend might jokingly say, with a digger) amounts to 58,210€.



I will therefore start by setting a first milestone to pay Alandino and cover post-production for Episode 3, i.e. 4,750€
