BISMILLAH ! OFFICIAL LAUNCH OF THE WINTER CAMPAIGN 2019-2020
6 years already that the association EVEIL has been roaming the streets of Nîmes in the hope of coming to the aid of men and women sometimes accompanied by children in need.
6 years that we have taken this commitment, that of helping anyone Allah (ST) will place on our path.
For this 6th season alongside the needy of the city of Nîmes, we have decided to pull out all the stops.
In Nîmes, every evening, a large number of men and women are eagerly awaiting the distribution of a good hot meal. They are often called SDF but above all they are people in their own right.
The period of severe cold is approaching fast and many of them will then find themselves in extreme precariousness. During this 2019/2020 winter campaign, we will continue to intervene alongside the SAMU Social to bring them our help through the distribution of homemade meals.
During our last winter campaign nearly 4 000€ were released to offer more than 2 000 meals. This year, we are being told again of a massive arrival of Syrian and Chechen refugees. That is why we call on you to take part in this wave of generosity.
How to help them?
100% of your donations will be redistributed to the needy through complete, homemade meals. The cost of a meal is estimated at only 2€. A small donation for us but a great gesture for them.
Your donations will allow:
1 – the purchase of the ingredients necessary for the preparation of a meal.
2 – the booking of hotel rooms for families and/or single persons in extreme difficulty.
3 – the financing of equipment to protect them from the cold (blankets, tents, coats, hats…).
“Whatever expenditures you have made, or the vow you have vowed, Allah knows it.” (Quran: Surah 2, verse 270).
It is because we are aware of the responsibility that rests on us both as Muslims and as French citizens that we will redouble our efforts to live up to this new challenge.
