As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuh,
As you all know, Allah ﷻ has commanded us to perform the prayer at precisely determined times.
Allah says:
“Indeed, prayer, for the believers, is prescribed at fixed times.”
(4:103)
Today, to determine these times, we almost all use apps and calendars that set not only the prayer times but also the start and end of our fasting.
👉 Two fundamental pillars of our religion therefore depend directly on these tools.
However, among the necessary conditions to follow time calculations, it is indispensable that the person who establishes them:
• be knowledgeable in the religious sciences,
• master the science of tawqīt (astronomy applied to prayer times),
• and be recognized for their uprightness and moral character.
Unfortunately, today we use applications for which we have no idea who actually performs the calculations.
Worse still, when comparing some of these apps with the calculations of recognized astronomers, significant discrepancies are observed.
To address this major problem, Sheikh Ismail ar-Roubaysi, accompanied by a team of brothers, worked on setting up the Tawqit application, based on the calculations of the world-renowned astronomer Muhammad Shawkat Odeh:
• observer and astronomer,
• muwaqqit in Jordan and the Emirates,
• member of the International Center of Astronomy.
_Thanks to this application, you know precisely who guarantees the prayer times and are thus freed from doubt and uncertainty regarding the issue of degrees and the reliability of applications._
All of this, without any advertising!

📱 What the Tawqit application offers:
The application notably allows:
• to provide prayer times worldwide,
• to handle polar days and nights,
• to implement the degrees according to scholars' opinions, relying on the classical recognized muwaqqitin still in use today,
• full transparency with the user concerning the degrees and undefined prayers (case of polar regions),
• an integrated calendar,
• availability in several languages: French, Arabic and English,
• a light/dark mode,
• the integration of daruri time according to the Maliki school, with other options according to the different schools of jurisprudence.
May Allah reward you abundantly for every euro invested in the distribution of this application.
