Redevelopment and Expansion of the Roquemaure Mosque

We have excellent news to share with you. We have just started the interior work on our mosque located at :

4 rue du 8 mai tel:1945 30150 ROQUEMAURE

Location: Département du Gard / Occitanie, between Nîmes and Orange (84), near Avignon (12 kms); Motorway exit Interchange 22 Roquemaure.

And we need your precious support to carry out this project.

Faced with a growing influx of worshippers that exceeds the reception capacity of the Roquemaure mosque, with worshippers from our town as well as surrounding villages, the faithful have committed to enlarging the mosque premises.

In a first phase, we proceeded with the purchase of an entire building attached to the mosque in order to significantly increase the surface area.

Then, in a second phase, we obtained a building permit for "Redevelopment"; the company selected began works on 23 September 2024: photos below.

We are counting on your generosity. May we create a place of worship worthy of the name that we can leave to our children (sadaqa jariya).

Join us to write this beautiful story of solidarity and faith.

Budget for renovation, redevelopment and expansion of the Roquemaure Mosque:

Purchase of building : 160 000 euros / Interior major structural work : 179 000 euros.

Secondary works (finishes): 90 000 euros.

The company SMAT is currently carrying out the major structural works since 23 September 2024 for a planned period of 3 months.

We have the funds to finish the major structural works but we need to raise again the sum of 90 000 euros for the secondary works: electricity, plumbing, plasterboard and painting, joinery, insulation, coverings, heating, air conditioning, elevator, security elements, all final finishes.

These works are essential to ensure the functionality of our mosque, allowing everyone to practice our religion peacefully in a welcoming and calming environment, and to properly accommodate all worshippers.

We cannot achieve this without your help. That is why we are launching a special fundraiser to finance these essential works. Every contribution counts; however small, it is welcome.

Every euro collected will be used carefully to create a prayer and gathering space for the community.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: "Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him its equivalent in Paradise."

We therefore invite you to share this fundraiser with all your relatives, friends and family.

May the peace and blessings of Allah be upon you all.
