Despite an inclusion policy, our adolescents with disabilities attending IME need a safe, warm place to relax and enjoy pleasant moments together without feeling excluded or singled out.
A leisure center that offers a space to rest, to take part freely in activities, where competition and performance do not matter.
I wish to create a structure and make this center a true activity hub where it is pleasant to live and have fun together, and where each child is invited to participate according to their abilities.
Ensure that each child is welcomed and expected and receives caring, continuous attention.
Promote interaction among children throughout all moments of center life (activities, daily life, meals…).
Make the leisure center a space for play and enjoyment for the children.
Promote openness and discovery of the surrounding world, placing particular emphasis on a selection of activities that favor outings (swimming pool, shows, museums, gardens…)
Adapt activity offerings to the possibilities and capacities of each child.
I want to develop access to leisure activities and holidays for adolescents with disabilities.
Allow parents to better balance their life schedules by benefiting from types of care adapted to their child's specific needs.
Take advantage of a shared living space to meet up with peers and experience moments of relaxation, play and enjoyment.
During organized outings, encourage exchange among them and also with the outside world.
Enable inclusion at specific times and under the best possible conditions.
