During the holy month of Ramadan, every Muslim who is able must pay Zakat Al Fitr.
The amount of this Zakat has been set this year at 7 € per household member and you can pay it now.
For the 9th consecutive year, the Association Zenaga de Figuig in France (AZF) is collecting Zakat Al Fitr for the benefit of Association AMAL for Health Solidarity (AASS) in Oujda.
AASS is a Figuig-based association located in Oujda whose main objective is to promote health solidarity.
It assists oasis patients suffering from kidney failure, cancer, or who require costly surgeries, as well as young people with Down syndrome and cardiac patients.
The association provides both financial aid (covering part of the medical costs) and logistical support (reserving an apartment for patients' families who have no place to stay in Oujda).
AASS handles nearly 440 cases each year and supports more than sixty patients affected by the diseases mentioned above.
Furthermore, this year, with the suspension of the municipal twice-weekly shuttle service to Bouarfa for the benefit of hemodialysis patients, AASS is stepping in to provide transportation so that patients can continue their hemodialysis sessions without interruption.
The figures from previous campaigns are as follows:
- 2022 : 6 600 €
- 2021 : 5 973 €
- 2020 : 6 502 €
- 2019 : 4 360 €
- 2018 : 2 700 €
- 2017 : 4 900 €
- 2016 : 3 500 €
- 2015 : 4 300 €
This year, we aim to collect 8 000 €, any contribution toward this goal is welcome!
AZF WILL TRANSFER THE COLLECTION TO AASS ON THE EVE OF EID AL-FITR.
