We have taken in Blacki, 13, and his son Patapouf, 9, because their owners, who were seriously ill, could no longer care for them and had been keeping them in a cage for some time. The two Yorkies had never seen a veterinarian in their lives; they were neither identified, neutered nor vaccinated. Their teeth were rotten, so we also had their teeth scaled. A blood test was performed for each of them. They both suffer from bilateral ear infections which we will treat. They will be dewormed and treated against fleas and ticks. Vaccinations will be done next week, followed by a booster in one month.
