All hospitals in Gaza are lacking supplies and medicines due to the inhumane blockade imposed by Israel.
The largest among them, Shifa Hospital, has informed us of the dire situation faced by patients with kidney failure, undergoing dialysis or waiting to be treated.

"We no longer have _erythropoietin_, a drug that prevents repeated blood transfusions," warns Dr Ghazi Al-Yazji, head of the nephrology department at Shifa Hospital.
ANESTHESIA AND SURGICAL SUPPLIES
Similarly, Dr Hesham El Zenati, head of anesthesiology and intensive care at Shifa, no longer has _Succinylcholine_, an anesthetic agent essential for emergency surgical procedures such as cesarean sections or postoperative laryngospasms in pediatrics.
The head of the thoracic surgery department at Shifa Hospital, Dr Raed Al-Areeni, for his part lists the equipment he needs, ranging from sutures, vascular clips and staples to endotracheal tubes and venous anti-thrombosis systems.
