If you think it is urgent and vital to tackle ecology, climate, social justice and democracy issues head-on, this fundraiser to finance the CARNIVAL OF POSSIBILITIES is for you!
It takes place on Sunday, September 30 from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at the leisure center of Saint Leu d’Esserent
The carnival will be prepared throughout the day with workshops to create puppets and Batucada instruments and will end with a final carnival procession to dream and to say that another, more humane world is possible.
How much to give?
There are no small donations 2€, 5€, 10€, or more… they are all welcome.
Whatever the amount, anyone can contribute to this fundraiser. No need to create an account or to register, it’s quick and payments are 100% secure.
You will all receive photos and reports produced during this event.
An ECOCUP for donations of 5 euros or more      Â
In return, we commit to giving each contributor of 5 euros and more an ECOCUP of the Carnival of Possibilities (to be collected at the entrance of the event)
Such an event has a cost, especially since entry is free to allow as many people as possible to attend. This cost is greater than the support from the local authorities and associations that back us.
We need at least 2.000 euros to finalize our budget.

Why such a project?
Faced with the vital issues of air and water pollution, the accelerated impoverishment of soils, and the disappearance of animal species, faced with the accelerating effects of climate disruption, it is urgent to act collectively and in solidarity. Heatwaves, devastating fires in Greece, Sweden and California, deadly floods in India, collapse of biodiversity: the summer of 2018 offered a cruel wake-up call to those who would still ignore the seriousness of the events.
We want and we can live better right now with healthy food, cordial and supportive human relationships, and without living in fear of tomorrow.
The idea is to show that other so-called “transition” alternatives are possible and already exist in the Oise: soft mobility, permaculture, shared gardens, AMAP and short supply chains, participatory budgets, municipalities autonomous in non-carbon energy, social and solidarity economy.
These ecological catastrophes are the consequence of short-term economic choices which also generate an increase in social inequalities in France and worldwide. The refugee crisis is a striking illustration.
Nicolas Hulot’s admission of powerlessness shows that it is vital and urgent that all citizens engage to tackle ecology, climate, social justice and democracy issues head-on.
