Today, we are starting the construction phase of the new mosque in Marseille!




Dear sisters, dear brothers, dear friends and benefactors,

As a direct consequence of the major development works currently underway in the area, the Great ISLAH Mosque of Southern France, the landmark mosque of the Marché aux Puces in Marseille, which has nobly served our religion and the entire Muslim community of the Bouches-du-Rhône since 1989, the year it opened, will have to close its doors permanently.

To ensure worshippers can continue to access the essential services provided by our place of worship, the association 2C2M has acquired a property very close to the current mosque, at 11-13 Place Bougainville 13015 Marseille, with the aim of making it a proper Muslim cultural and worship center.

Given the urgent need to begin the works on the new mosque before the current mosque closes, we are asking for your support to raise, in a first stage, 1 million euros.

Due to the major urban construction works currently underway in the area, the Great Islah Mosque of Southern France in Marseille, which opened in 1989 and has played an acknowledged role in serving Islam and Muslims, will soon be forced to close permanently.

In order for this service to continue and for the mosque's attendees to have a space to perform prayers and benefit from the usual services, the Association of the Mediterranean Cultural Center of Marseille has purchased a building in the 15th district of the city, close to the current mosque, with the aim of establishing a distinguished mosque and Islamic cultural center.

With the urgent and pressing need to begin the restoration and construction works on the new mosque before the current mosque closes, we ask for your help to raise, God willing, one million euros in an initial phase.

Anyone who can contribute a little or a lot is beneficial, and by God's permission, together we can rise to this challenge and achieve this noble goal as soon as possible.
