On December 14, 2024, the island of Mayotte was struck full force by Tropical Cyclone Chido, leaving massive destruction in its wake. Thousands of families are now homeless, without drinking water, without food, and living in dire conditions.
In response to this disaster, the AMCRA association, in collaboration with the Comorian community, has decided to mobilize to provide support to the people of Mayotte. We are organizing a collection of material donations and have also set up an online fund to address the urgent needs of the disaster victims. The goods and funds collected will be sent directly to the victims to offer them a minimum of comfort and dignity during this crisis period.
Here are the main items we need:
Hygiene kits (soap, toothpaste, menstrual products, diapers, wipes...)
Light clothing (new or in good condition)
Blankets and sleeping bags
Non-perishable food items
Essential supplies (flashlights, batteries, candles, tarpaulins, etc.)
