On September 10 and 18: No to the Bayrou budget, enough sacrifices for the working world!
The Bayrou government's budget project means 44 billion in budget savings: elimination of two public holidays, cuts to public services, yet another reform of unemployment insurance, freeze of the index point, freeze of social benefits, doubling of medical deductibles, questioning of the 5th week of paid leave... These measures are as brutal as they are unjust! Another budget to address social and environmental emergencies is necessary and it’s time to mobilize! The CGT calls on all staff to take part in the social mobilization on September 10 and 18! The momentum of the citizens' initiative on September 10 demonstrates the scale of social anger. The CGT supports the movement which must be sustained over time, as shown by the inter-union mobilization for another budget on September 18. Strike notices have been filed and cover the whole month of September and beyond.
Mobilization is also taking hold at the MEN / MESR / MJS central administration! But not everyone dares to strike or always has the means to do so. For this reason, and as we did during the 2023 pension movement, CGT Educ'action central administration is setting up a strike fund.
This strike fund will be topped up with the balance of the previous strike fund (1500€), voluntary contributions from colleagues and by CGT Educ'action central administration.
This strike fund is intended to cover the days of staff who request it (mail à cgteducaction.syndicat-ac//@//education.gouv.fr). It will be activated at the time of payroll deductions, upon presentation of the pay slip and with a sworn statement that no other strike fund has been used.
To benefit from the strike fund, you must be staff paid by the MEN / MESR / MJS central administration.
According to our statistics, a single share raises an average of 30 euros.
