Hello everyone,

The success of our various educational activities, coupled with our desire to pursue the pedagogical project undertaken with our pupils, has allowed us to establish a healthy and serene environment in which we are opening the private KOUBA elementary school.

This new institution will welcome pupils seeking an alternative education supported by civic, republican and Muslim values.

KOUBA elementary school, whose mission is to instruct, educate and train pupils so that they become fulfilled citizens within society in harmony with republican values, will teach universal values such as tolerance, respect for others and mutual aid.

Classes will consist of a maximum of 15 to 20 pupils, to allow:

To our teachers:

o   to practise their profession without pressure or overflow

o   to maintain real proximity with their pupils in order to provide personalised and concrete follow-up

To our pupils to feel comfortable but also supported

The reduced size will enable teachers to implement pedagogical differentiation so they can adapt to class heterogeneity and teach pupils according to their differing abilities.

The KOUBA teaching team’s main objectives are to:

support the child and their circle so that the pupil can progress calmly, notably by involving parents

Make the child an active participant in their learning by promoting hands-on pedagogical methods based on inquiry-based learning.

Encourage the child’s fulfilment during learning by proposing a development pace suited to them.

Develop living together and communal life, paying particular attention to explaining the rules of life that children must integrate and make their own, in class and in the community.

Sustainable development will have a prominent place in the school’s educational project. Indeed, this issue, which concerns societies worldwide, will be integrated into the school curriculum.

The pupil will be at the heart of the KOUBA project.

This project can be summarised in two words: "KNOWLEDGE" and "SUCCESS"

Success at KOUBA school is reflected by:

•  academic success by combining rigour, quality teaching and a taste for effort;

•  success in guidance and preparation for a professional project;

•  civic and spiritual success, the result of openness to one’s environment and a discovery of Muslim values.

This success, the primary concern of the whole educational community, will necessarily involve:

•  creating a place where one teaches while educating according to Muslim values;

•  discovering and implementing Muslim values;

•  ensuring personal follow-up for each pupil;

•  providing help and support to any pupil who needs it or requests it;

•  offering activities for personal or collective fulfilment.

Teachers will hold a master’s degree in the field of education. This requirement will ensure quality lessons with professionals in the field. Under these conditions, the institute will be open to all, without distinction of belief or origin.

After launching the project a few years ago, we obtained the building permit.

Today the construction cost amounts to a little over one million euros.

To make our project a reality we need much more help and support.
