📌 The Chibanis Cooperative aims to act and raise awareness about the situation of all vulnerable elderly people, particularly immigrant seniors.
By participating in our “Launch of the Chibanis Cooperative” campaign, you will contribute to:
✅ Continue the "solidarity meals" operation for isolated elderly people and people in severe hardship
✅ Provide legal and social drop-in services staffed by professionals to facilitate access to rights (housing, retirement, pensions, benefits…)
✅ Provide psychological support by professionals for elderly people in distress and family caregivers
✅ Help the Chibanis regain a social life through dedicated meetups and activities.
💜 Your contribution will truly change the lives of these vulnerable elderly people and will allow us to ensure the sustainability of our social missions on their behalf. 📌 Arriving during the Trente Glorieuses to help rebuild post‑war France, the Chibanis and Chibaniates led a laborious life in the pain of exile. Today retired, thousands of them are slowly wasting away in often undignified conditions, in hostels or social housing. Their vulnerability, sometimes compounded by the language barrier, causes them to miss out on their fundamental rights. Let’s help them regain their dignity.
