For 7 weeks now, seamstresses and tailors have been busy providing for those who continue their mission with vulnerable people during this period of lockdown.
An extraordinary outpouring of solidarity, these volunteers have used their supplies, their machines, their threads and their elastics to make more than 4,500 masks to date for organizations such as clinics, CHU, medical centers, care homes, firefighters, schools...
It is necessary to make visible this hidden and extraordinary behind-the-scenes work. The fund will be used to provide equipment purchased from two shopkeepers who, from the beginning, stood alongside these more than 50 volunteers...
Collectively, under the aegis of the Facebook group Couturières et Couturiers Solidaires Doubs-Besançon, the money will be allocated to those who worked tirelessly for hours, days and weeks to make up for the inadequacy of mask allocations.
