For more than 30 years, the Muslim community of Longjumeau and its surroundings has aspired to a proper Islamic socio-cultural center. The current mosque, built by our elders (may Allah reward them), is precious but no longer meets growing needs. It is time to act to provide a place of worship and learning suited to future generations.

📌 AN ESSENTIAL PROJECT FOR OUR COMMUNITY

🔹 What will the future mosque include?

The Islamic socio-cultural center will include:

✅ Ground floor:

- Parking with 23 spaces (including 3 for people with reduced mobility).

- A sanitary area for men's ablutions.

- Men's prayer hall (400 m²).

- Multipurpose hall for conferences and events.

- Classrooms for Arabic language support and Quran lessons.

- Office for the imam and administrative offices.

- Kitchen for events.

✅ 1st floor:

- Sanitary area for women's ablutions.

- Women's prayer hall (154 m²).

- Multimedia area and ancillary rooms.

✅ Exterior:

- A 200 m² green space for relaxation and friendliness.

- Accessibility guaranteed with an elevator and ramps for people with reduced mobility.

🎯 THE MOSQUE'S AIMS

This Islamic center will be a place of worship, education and solidarity enabling us to:

✔️ Ensure the practice of Muslim worship in a spacious and suitable place.
✔️ Promote Muslim culture and the Arabic language.
✔️ Support students with academic difficulties.
✔️ Fight social exclusion and help the community.
✔️ Encourage cultural exchanges with other associations in a spirit of respect and openness.

🕌 PLANNED ACTIVITIES

📖 Worship and religious teaching:

- The five daily prayers

- Friday prayer (Jumu'ah)

- Tarawih prayers during Ramadan

- The two Eid prayers

- Quran and Arabic classes

- Islamic conferences

📚 Education and solidarity:

- Academic support (primary and middle school)

- Humanitarian actions

🛠 CONSTRUCTION: WHERE DO WE STAND?

Since Ramadan 2025, by the grace of Allah and thanks to your continued mobilization, the new Longjumeau mosque project has been progressing significantly.

Several important stages have been completed. The building plans have been carefully reviewed, and the main structural works are now nearly finished. Insulation work has begun, as well as work on the roof and the dome, marking a new visible and structural phase of the site.

Significant progress has also been made on several key areas of the future complex: the women's prayer room, the women's ablution area, the multipurpose hall and the garden area. These advances have been concretely materialized by major concrete pouring works, attesting to the solidity and continuity of the project.

On the financial side, we also wish to inform you transparently of the collective efforts made. More than €15,000 were raised during a Jumu'ah at the Grand Mosque of Massy, and more than €4,000 during a Jumu'ah at the mosque of Savigny-le-Temple. We warmly thank these sister communities for their welcome and generosity.

These advances are the result of your trust, your prayers and your material support. The road is still long, but each step brings us closer to the opening of this house of Allah, which will be a place of prayer, transmission and gathering for generations to come.

✅ Amount raised over 34 years: approximately €1,500,000 (thanks to Allah and your generosity!)
✅ Amount still to collect: approximately €1,000,000
