After an eight-year trip around the world I ran aground in the bay of Favignana in Sicily following the failure of my main anchor in 40 to 50 knots of wind. My insurance covers a large part of the damage, but what remains to be paid due to deductibles and unreimbursed personal effects and equipment far exceed my financial means (pension below the minimum wage!!). This is why I appeal to the solidarity of fellow seafarers to help me continue my dream of travel and freedom....Thank you all...Daniel Florentin

Salut a tous , bientôt à l'eau,et ''on the road again'' merci pour vos contributions... Ça aide toujours,surtout quand mon assurance ''tous risques'' laisse à ma charge 7.200€.sur un devis de 24.000 €. Le temps passe ici, c'est l'Italie, demain est un autre jour...Je ne suis pas pressé.Je compte croiser cet été autour des Baleares et si tout va bien,aller passer l'hiver aux Caraibes...Ensuite, les vents décideront....À bientôt,les amis...Daniel

Rénover ton bateau c'est pas rénover Notre Dame et ton projet répond mieux à mes options et à mes rêves. Ma contribution est certes plus modeste, mais c'est celle du coeur et non du profit. Bon vent .
