We are temporarily pausing our current fundraiser on Cotizup while we structure and deploy our next humanitarian action plan.

In the meantime, our field actions continue: we are still providing emergency assistance to displaced families thanks to the remaining budget from the fundraiser.

This transition phase allows us to prepare even more effective, sustainable actions adapted to the needs observed on the ground.

Reopening of the fundraiser following the resumption of the conflict at the borders**

On Sunday, December 7, the conflict suddenly resumed at the borders.

Within hours, families had to leave their homes again: more than 70,000 people took to the roads, seeking refuge in improvised camps, just like this summer. In a single weekend, the situation we documented in July repeated itself.

This is why we are reopening the fundraiser today.

As in July, the objective is simple and concrete: provide emergency assistance to displaced families according to their urgent needs (basic food, hygiene, medicine, shelter materials, support for children and vulnerable people).

We will return to the field from December 16 to act as directly as possible, as we did this summer.

As during the first phase, we will remain transparent about the use of funds, and we will regularly share updates on the situation and the actions carried out thanks to your support.

Thanks to all those who have been with us since July 25.

Every contribution, even modest, allows immediate action for displaced Cambodian families.

Our story since last July 25

In the space of barely a month, an exceptional mobilization formed around this cause: more than $70,000 were raised thanks to the first fundraiser and the support of the community.

The majority of this sum was spent on site, as close as possible to families, to meet urgent needs in the camps (food, hygiene, medicine, shelter).

Spending from the 1st mission was divided into 3 main categories:

1. Emergency aid & distribution of essential supplies: $60,288
2. Logistics & Transport: $5,059
3. Human resources and administrative costs: $5,004

Upon returning to France at the beginning of September, we wanted to continue the action differently: by sharing what we had seen, experienced and documented.

There remained $4,389 from the fundraiser, which we dedicated to awareness-raising by organizing screenings of our documentary series “Santipheap – Au cœur des déplacés” between September 7 and mid-November in Paris and several cities (communication, venue rental, logistics…).

These events helped raise awareness, explain the context, answer questions, but above all to give testimony for those who have no voice. The objective was simple: to make people understand the reality of the camps, beyond figures and summaries.

From mid-November, we wanted to broaden this awareness even further, beyond the screening rooms.

That is why we put the documentary “Au cœur des déplacés” produced by Rémy C. online on YouTube, to raise awareness on a large scale, worldwide, and make these testimonies freely accessible. This upload allowed thousands of people to discover the situation of displaced Cambodian families.

This field and awareness work took on a new dimension on December 1 with the organization of the concert Baramey in Paris – Rise for Khmer at Salle Pleyel

This project, imagined since the summer and built in one month with Baramey and the Khmer Artists Association, had a dual objective: to showcase Khmer culture on an international stage and to raise funds to help populations affected by the conflict. Salle Pleyel was sold out, and the impact was global.

[Past] 1st phase: July - September

🌏 Context and current situation

Since May 2025, tensions on the border between Cambodia and Thailand have intensified. On July 24, the clashes reached a new level of violence, forcing thousands of Cambodians to flee their homes in a hurry.

The next day, July 25, we visited an improvised refugee camp 2 hours from Siem Reap. On site, around 13,000 refugees were gathered on a large empty lot with no suitable infrastructure. According to the latest figures, more than 130,000 people have been displaced since the start of the conflict.

🤝 Why this fundraiser

**Faced with this humanitarian emergency, we launched this fundraiser to help families who have lost everything.

We operate in several camps to meet the most pressing needs:

- Shelters to protect from rain and sun

- Essential supplies

- Food supplies

Thanks to your support, we were able to deploy missions to deliver tents, waterproof tarpaulins and vital equipment to displaced women, men and children.

✊ After the emergency: ongoing support

A ceasefire has since been announced, but families are not ready to return.
Many have lost their homes or fear returning to still-unstable areas. Local authorities estimate that this situation could last more than a month, requiring prolonged assistance.

Your donations allowed immediate action during the emergency, and they now help us support these families over time to improve their living conditions until a possible return to normalcy.
