As part of the fight led by the GDS des Savoie and the Departmental Council of Haute-Savoie, our mission is to destroy nests hidden in trees.
The survival of bees and a multitude of pollinating insects depends on our effectiveness.
The first step is to geolocate the nests by using chips placed on the hornets.
Once located, they are destroyed using a telescopic pole through which a biodegradable natural insecticide is injected.
This equipment is extremely expensive.
Each 'Robor' geolocation kit costs 2800€ and a telescopic pole 4000€.
