11% of the world's population, i.e. 844 million people, do not have access to safe drinking water, including 424 million in sub-Saharan Africa. Chad is one of those countries where local populations rely on water from contaminated ponds or rainwater to meet their needs.

In 2019, more than 100 wells were built by DIGNITE International in several countries (Africa, Asia) where drinking water remains a very scarce commodity.
