Thank you for your attention! Djamila is 30 years old.
She arrived in Réunion in 2017 as part of a medical evacuation (EVASAN), because the care she needs cannot be provided in the Comoros.
A Comorian national, she has legal status but her right to family reunification is not being recognized by the French authorities.
She has survived thanks to solidarity all this time and receives no income.
She also sells handmade crafts: wool mandalas that you can order.
She is living with a disability and must regularly go to the hospital for major medical treatments.
She needs money for a first trip to reunite with her daughter after more than 10 years of separation.
The painful separation happened at the foot of the kwasa-kwasa that refused her baby: Djamila had to entrust her daughter to a stranger to go and get treatment without knowing the separation would last more than 10 years... Kadija, her daughter, is now 11 years old and lives with a family that does not have many resources and did not expect to care for her for so long.
She often runs away and sleeps on the street because she does not find her place in that family.
Now she is reliving what her mother experienced. It is urgent that the mother and daughter be reunited and that they live together.
