In Togo, primary and secondary school is free but many children are out of school due to lack of means. Indeed, food, school supplies and ancillary fees are all factors that hinder children’s education. Each year the association Voyages et Actions Togo (VA-TOGO) provides school supplies to orphaned children who are part of its sponsorship program.
What will the collected money be used for?
The funds raised will be used to provide school supplies to 4 orphaned students who are part of VA-TOGO’s sponsorship program. They will also make it possible to organize a recreational day for around twenty children from the Nyivémé neighborhood where VA-TOGO is based.
Each kit costs 30 euros and includes:
- 1 pack of 200-page notebooks (large size)
- 1 pack of 100-page notebooks (large size)
- 1 pack of 100-page notebooks (small size
- 3 blue pens
- 3 red pens
- 1 geometry set
- 1 A khaki school uniform
- 1 ruler
- 1 box of colored pencils
The recreational day costs 100 euros and includes a screening of a socio-educational film, games with prizes ( 2 packs of juice and galettes) and entertainment.
