The BELLE DE M’AIDE fundraiser has already allowed more than €4,000 to be given to the school's families, not counting the food donations that have been redistributed.
Today, 26 families have benefited from this food and financial support.
However, the lockdown continues. We must therefore continue our acts of solidarity to help these families cope with isolation.
As a reminder: the 3rd arrondissement of Marseille is one of the poorest districts of Marseille. Many families in the neighborhood live on precarious contracts and informal "under-the-table" work. Markets that previously provided low-cost food items are closed, as are the cafeterias that provided a proper meal to children.
As a result, many of the school's families are having great difficulty feeding their children and paying their rent despite the extraordinary assistance from associations, collectives and local residents.
That is why we, the teachers of the RĂ©volution schools, will continue to provide, as far as possible, our support to families through the distribution of food supplies and through financial assistance.
