It is with great sadness that on Tuesday 24 June we learned that Ansoumane had died suddenly, the victim of a violent assault in Marseille.
This young man, whom some of you had met, would have celebrated his 19th birthday on 30/07/2025. He was originally from Guinea, a country he had left in the hope of building a better life in France. Ansoumane had only one wish: to sign an apprenticeship contract, have a stable situation and make his family proud. Sadly, he will never have the chance to see his projects come to fruition...
We, educators and volunteers, have supported him throughout his integration process in France since his arrival in 2023.
We wish to maintain our commitment and support Ansoumane until the end, doing everything possible so that he can be repatriated to his country and returned to his mother. That is why we need your support to finance the repatriation and help his mother cover the cost of the funeral. If that is not possible, the funds raised would be used to provide Ansoumane with a dignified burial in France so that his loved ones have a place to gather and honor his memory.
Every donation, even symbolic, is an act of solidarity and humanity.
