Peace be upon you and Allah's mercy and blessings
A single mother with her two children needs our help today.
After verifying her situation, we, the team of the association Entraides et Soutiens, are launching this call for donations for a divorced sister living alone with her two children in the Emirates.
Dr Isra is a sister of Pakistani origin, born and raised in Saudi Arabia. After a long course of studies, she obtained a doctorate in Tafsir of the Quran in Pakistan and also holds university degrees in English.
About a year ago, she came to the Emirates hoping to find a job and build a stable situation.
Unfortunately, her savings ran out before she could find stable employment and her situation deteriorated to the point that she found herself homeless with her children.
She was eventually found in a mosque in Sharjah where she had taken refuge.
The imam, discovering that he had before him a doctor in Tafsir, contacted the head of a teaching center he knew in order to try to help her.
A nearby accommodation was then found for her and she was given a few hours of teaching, even though the teaching staff was already full.
For nearly a year she thus worked to try to provide for her children with dignity.
But the center itself is now facing financial difficulties and can no longer guarantee her enough teaching hours.
Dr Isra now has 3 months of unpaid rent and is solely responsible for her housing, bills, food and the needs of her two children.
We therefore wish to raise 13 500 AED to help her out of this emergency and stabilize her situation for the coming months:
4 200 AED — 3 months of unpaid rent
4 200 AED — next 3 months' rent
1 500 AED — water and electricity for 3 months
3 600 AED — food and essential needs
Goal: 13 500 AED 3300 euros
This support should above all give her time to recover and regain her autonomy.
Dr Isra wants to work. She can teach Tafsir, Islamic sciences, Arabic and English, notably online.
So, if you know people looking for a teacher, bringing her students can be as valuable as a donation.
Allah عز وجل says:
﴿ وَتَعَاوَنُوا عَلَى الْبِرِّ وَالتَّقْوَىٰ ﴾
"And help one another in righteousness and piety." [Surah Al-Ma'idah, 5:2]
And the Prophet ﷺ said:
"Whoever relieves a believer of one of the hardships of this world, Allah will relieve him of one of the hardships of the Day of Resurrection." (Muslim)
€5, €10, €20… no donation is too small.
And if you cannot give, a prayer, a share or a professional referral can also be a tremendous help.
Today, it is simply about enabling a mother and her two children to keep a roof over their heads and giving her a few months to recover, by Allah's permission.
May Allah grant her a way out, place barakah in her knowledge and sustenance, and reward every person who will contribute by a donation, a share, an opportunity or a prayer.
