This fundraiser aims to support the renovation of the Green Mosque in El Nido, on the island of Palawan in the Philippines. Muslims there are a minority, and for many of them the Green Mosque is much more than a simple building: it is their place of prayer, gathering, brotherhood and a true anchor for the community.
Unfortunately, the mosque was damaged by a typhoon and now needs repairs to become fully functional again.
And the needs are real. Every Friday, during the Jumu'ah prayer, the mosque fills up and is already short on space. Men, women and families come together to pray. As the community grows, having a mosque that is safe, functional and sufficiently equipped becomes essential.
Restoring this mosque therefore makes it possible for a minority community to continue practicing their religion with dignity and to pass this heritage on to future generations: renovation of the women's section, purchase of equipment, creation of a Muslim cemetery, construction of a minaret — so many projects that now require the help of the international community.
🤲 Today, we appeal to your generosity.
Every donation, even of a few euros, can truly make a difference. For us, a small contribution may seem modest. For them, it can mean a prayer made in better conditions, a saved mosque, a more welcoming space for families and the future of an entire community.
May Allah reward everyone who contributes, shares or helps this community in any way. Ameen.
