Who are we ?

We are 2 associations carrying a large real estate project. This concerns the construction or acquisition of a building for educational and teaching use (a school) for children in La Seyne-sur-Mer / Toulon:

- Association “Espace Lumen” a French 1901 association registered at the Var prefecture on 19 July 2017 under number W832014901;

- Association “Lumière des Cœurs du Var” (ALCV) a French 1901 association registered at the Var prefecture on 19 June 2018 under number W832015622, which runs the “al-Bayane” institute in La Seyne-sur-Mer.

The 2 associations currently share the same premises of 110 m² located at _Le Marigot 2ème étage 876 chemin de la Farlède 83500 La Seyne sur mer_. Our audience consists of children from age 3, youth, and adults, men and women. The total number of people is currently 150 and we hope to double it next school year. Teaching areas cover kindergarten, Arabic language, Nourania, Qur’an, religious instruction, etc.

Why this project?

With several years of experience in the associative, education and teaching fields, we have observed the following:

- Although we provide teachings for adults, the child remains the essential element at the heart of our system. The child is therefore our absolute priority and this begins from the age of 3; the age when the child is receptive to teaching. We work to produce children who will fully find their place in society: children with good behavior, not frustrated, fulfilled, with a correct understanding of religion, protected against delinquency and radicalization, future responsible citizens;

- To have quality teaching and obtain undeniable results we must “professionalize” our associations which translates into hiring pedagogical, graduated and qualified teachers, with proper employment contracts.

If we want to attract the best teachers and especially retain them, we will have to pay them “properly” and there are 2 solutions for this: increase parents’ annual fees (which we do not want to do for fear of penalizing disadvantaged children), or reduce expenses.

It turns out that our largest expense is rent which currently amounts to approximately €1,200 and is unavoidable. We need more space so rent would be higher accordingly. The only way to reduce rent is to eliminate it completely by becoming owners of a building for educational and teaching use. In short, a school! It is therefore time for adults to invest and commit much more for the children, and to leave them a lasting “legacy.”

Why trust us?

- Because we have experience in the associative field (more than 25 years for some of us);

- Because education and teaching are at the core of our work, and we already produce undeniable results that we publish on most social networks;

- Because we have applied to open a private school outside the contract (Montessori kindergarten 3–6 years). The file was received by the Toulon education authority and is under review;

- Because our teachers are qualified (many hold university-level degrees);

- Because our teachers are graduated and certified:

* Montessori pedagogy: we have 3 assistants and one educator graduated from the Institut Supérieur Maria Montessori (ISMM); the only training center in France accredited by the Association Montessori Internationale (AMI);

* Early childhood: CAP training in progress;

* Nourania: we have 5 teachers certified in Nourania by the Furqan Group for Education & IT;

* Religious sciences: we have a teacher who followed a CERSI/IMED curriculum for 7 years;

* Qur’an: we have people who have memorized the Qur’an with Ijâza;

* Arabic language;

* Other skills necessary for good association management: accounting, management, telecommunications, IT.

- Because we have well-defined programs and a clear vision;

- Because we will create jobs.

Our experience and achievements

- Several years of teaching;

- Tutoring provided by a certified school teacher;

- Extracurricular activities;

- Organization of several seminars (religion, happy marriage, positive parenting, etc.);

- Organization of a Nourania dawra (training) in La Seyne-sur-Mer for more than 70 people with Sheikh Raee; founder of the Furqan center. Our objective was to spread the Nourania method in our region. More than 80% of participants succeeded in the exam allowing them to teach with this method;

- Sheikh Raee appreciated our rigor and seriousness and entrusted us with establishing an official Nourania office here to meet the region’s needs, including organizing a new dawra very soon;

- Interfaith dialogue.




Property prices are relatively high in our region. Count on about €2,500/m² finished, i.e. €500,000 for an area of 200 m². We are exploring all possibilities: land to build, a large house with land, premises with or without renovation.
