🔥 Algeria on red alert due to wildfires
Since Tuesday, Algeria has been on red alert: devastating forest fires are affecting several localities in the north of the country. Fueled by scorching heat reaching 49°C and strong winds, many fire outbreaks remain difficult to control and are dangerously approaching homes.
📊 131 forest fires recorded in a single day, across 24 wilayas
🔥 The most violent in Seraïdi (Annaba), where the fire came close to the hospital
🏥 Preventive evacuations of residents and patients
💔 New fires struck Jijel on August 26 — our thoughts are with the bereaved families and with those mobilized on the ground
Facing this catastrophe, Espoir et Avenir and the Collectif des Algériens de Sevran are mobilizing to assist the affected families.
🤲 Your donation will be used to fund emergency aid:
🍞 food and water
🧼 hygiene products
🧥 clothing and blankets
📦 essential supplies
Distributed on-site by our local partner and rescue teams. A long-term support project may then be implemented: replanting, protection of the living, support for the local economy.
In the most difficult moments, solidarity is our greatest strength.
A donation, a dua, a share: every gesture counts. 🙏
BarakAllahou fikoum ❤️
Espoir et Avenir, unite to act!
