We have just lost everything at 2:00 a.m. — our bar burned down in Bihorel.
We watched our life fly away in the flames, powerless, last night. Our life has just turned into a nightmare.
The tobacco shop is also on fire; the firefighters have just arrived but we have already lost everything.
We were an independent small bar/shop in the Kennedy shopping center in Bihorel.
All our personal and business belongings are mixed together. Inside our bar, there were toys stored for the association I represent; we had agreed to keep them in our storage room while waiting to take them to the CHU of Rouen for the hospitalized children.
We have two disabled children. Last night, we lost everything. Our life has collapsed for no reason other than hatred.
This is unreal what is happening to us. My partner came home in tears saying to me, “don't worry, we'll get through this, I'll find a job.” My husband is 59 years old… I will try to find night work because we will not survive this tragedy. We have the mortgage, the PGE, our children's medical care which amounts to almost €1,000 per month. I am devastated and so sorry for my husband who worked 14 hours a day just so we could pay our bills.
