Support for families affected in Kabylie (Northern Algeria)
Kabylie has been engulfed in flames since Monday, August 9. More than 70 fires have started. At least 69 people have died in the fires, including 37 civilians and 14 members of the military. Forests and entire landscapes have been devastated, herds decimated, hospitals burned down. Families are currently left destitute, without housing, water or electricity. Calls for solidarity are multiplying across the country.
Local associations on the ground need our help.
We will distribute the donations to several local associations we have contacted, notably the association Timizrit Solidaire de St Etienne (cultural association supporting Kabylie) and the AAFPA (humanitarian association of doctors, Amitié populaire franco-algérienne).
