Khadija from AGADIR needs urgent support for the shelter because it is in a critical situation; the animals are in great danger of being left alone with no one to care for them, as she is about to be imprisoned.
Because she could not pay an invoice, a kibble supplier insisted that she give him a guarantee check for 750 e despite her explicit warnings that the account was not funded. Acting under pressure and in the urgency of feeding the animals, she accepted.
But even more seriously, although the debt was paid later, he recently deposited the 750 e bounced check and the case was forwarded to the justice services, placing her today in extreme legal precarity. He chose to hand the check to the prosecutor knowing that in Morocco, a check without funds carries a prison sentence.
By acting in such a disproportionate and abusive way, he directly endangers the lives of 130 dogs and 60 cats. Khadija is the only person who cares for them daily, having to date no trusted staff to replace her. His action knowingly condemns nearly 200 animals to abandonment and certain death.
In the emergency, she must pay 750 e to be able to recover the check and stop all proceedings... she will appear again in court on September 8, but if there is no solution, prison is assured.
This fund is created to raise the necessary 750 e... any donation can help.
