I am a single mother living on an income equivalent to the SMIC. Some of my children are currently living abroad, in Algeria, in a particularly difficult family context. Acts of violence against minors by my ex-husband have been recognized by the courts in the context of our family situation, and a recent cry for help from one of my children, who secretly contacted me to say:
"mom you have to come, I feel like all the doors are closed to me",
"now they want to forbid us from going to school"
forces me to undertake immediate procedures locally and to obtain legal assistance, because my ex-husband is known to be violent and is also banned from French territory due to his dangerousness.
My current resources do not allow me to cover travel, accommodation and the necessary administrative expenses to be with my children, support them and assert their rights with the competent authorities. This fundraiser's sole purpose is to finance these urgent steps. Every contribution, however small, will be of great help.
