Dear sisters, dear brothers,

It is with deep emotion that we announce our major project for the faithful of Le Havre: the construction of the Ibrahim Mosque.

By the grace of Allah, we were able to find an unprecedented opportunity in the city center, near the university. A building of more than 750m2, initially offered for a symbolic amount of €180,000.

We are asking you today to help us transform this building into the first mosque in the city center, a place of prayer within easy reach of the university students.

This mosque will be a precious da'wah tool, allowing us to learn about and transmit our beautiful religion in the best possible way.

After long discussions (and negotiations), we managed to agree with the sellers on a price well below its real value.

The sale agreement was signed this Thursday, May 25, and we have until the signing of the final notarial deed to raise these funds (Monday, July 31, 2023).

Once this first step is completed, we will continue to raise funds to replace the building's roof.

This project is of crucial importance for the preservation of Islam and its transmission to a greater number of people, including future generations. It is a unique opportunity to ensure the spiritual well-being of our children and grandchildren by offering them an appropriate place of worship and education.

The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said: "Whoever builds a mosque for Allah, Allah will build for him a house in Paradise."

Every contribution, whatever its size, will help us build a space dedicated to education, prayer and the uplift of our community, thus contributing to the preservation and transmission of our precious religion.

📣 CHOISISSEZ LES COULEURS DE VOS MOSQUÉES !

Salam 'Alaykum,

Chères soeurs, chers frères,

Nous sollicitons votre avis sur le choix des couleurs intérieures pour la mosquée Maryam et la mosquée Ibrahim. Bien qu'elles soient situées dans des quartiers distincts, elles appartiennent toutes deux à notre projet "Le Complexe Éducatif de Havre De Savoir".

Aujourd'hui, nous vous invitons à prendre part à une étape cruciale : la définition des couleurs intérieures. Notre souhait ? Qu'en mettant un pied dans l'une ou l'autre de ces mosquées, les couleurs vous murmurent que vous êtes bien au sein du complexe de HDS.

Voici vos consignes :

1. Bleu : La première couleur doit impérativement être du bleu, couleur historique de HDS et hommage à notre ville, Le Havre, la "Cité Océane". À vous de nous surprendre avec une nuance spécifique !

2. Lumineuse : La seconde couleur devra être claire et rayonnante. L'Islam est lumière, et nos mosquées aspirent à être des phares pour notre communauté.

3. Originale : La troisième couleur doit être audacieuse, unique, une teinte que l'on ne s'attendrait pas nécessairement à trouver dans une mosquée.
