🏗️ The Maryam Mosque: A New Milestone Reached! 🏗️

📅 06 February 2025, a date to remember: we have officially obtained the building permit for the Maryam Mosque! Al hamdoulillah, this decisive step allows us to begin the works and make this long-awaited project a reality.

Located in the Bléville neighborhood, the Maryam Mosque will not only be a place of prayer, but also a true educational center. Our goal is to offer a warm and accessible space for all, where everyone can recharge, learn and exchange.

🕌 A Unique and Modern Place

The Maryam Mosque will be a true architectural gem, designed to meet the needs of the whole community:

✅ A peaceful, bright prayer hall, topped by a fully transparent dome letting in natural light.

✅ An inclusive space open to all, with regular conferences, evening gatherings and other events throughout the year to introduce Islam to as many people as possible.

✅ Classrooms and multipurpose rooms dedicated to the education of children and adults alike.

❔Why "Maryam"?

The choice of the name “Maryam” carries several deep meanings:

1) A tribute to women: The name Maryam is a powerful symbol of the prominent place of women in Islam, recalling their vital contribution to spiritual and community life.
2) A bridge of fraternity toward the Christian community: Maryam (Mary), mother of ‘Issa (Jesus), is a central figure both in Islam and in Christianity. By choosing this name, we want to emphasize the ties that unite the two faith traditions and promote a spirit of respect and interreligious cooperation.
3) A hope for the future: Maryam is the fruit of her mother’s invocation to serve Allah. In the same way, we hope that this mosque will be the fruit of our invocations and that it will contribute to the formation of devoted and benevolent believers.
4) A central figure in Islam: Maryam is mentioned 34 times in the Qur'an, a reminder of her important place in our faith.

Par la grâce d’Allah, et grâce à votre générosité, toutes les menuiseries de la mosquée Maryam (fenêtres et portes) ont été posées, et le bâtiment est désormais à l’abri du vent et de la pluie. Cette étape importante a été rendue possible par les donateurs et toutes celles et ceux qui ont soutenu ce projet, de près ou de loin.

Nous invoquons Allah pour chacun d’entre vous :
Qu’Allah accepte vos dons, purifie vos biens, mette la baraka dans vos familles et vous accorde une demeure au Paradis en récompense de votre contribution à Sa maison. Qu’Il fasse de cette mosquée une lumière pour vous ici-bas et dans l’au-delà.

Le projet continue toutefois, et chacun peut encore y participer de trois manières :
    1.    Par vos invocations sincères pour la réussite et l’aboutissement du projet.
    2.    En parlant de la mosquée autour de vous afin de faire connaître et soutenir cette &oelig;uvre.
    3.    Par l’aumône, selon les moyens de chacun, pour permettre la poursuite des travaux.

Qu’Allah récompense abondamment tous ceux qui soutiennent cette mosquée et fasse de ce projet une source de bien pour les générations à venir.
