Hello everyone,
I never imagined I would create a fundraiser to ask for help. Yet today I am doing it for my children.
I have now been without a car for four months.
For everyday life, I manage. Shopping, usual trips, school… with my children, I do everything by public transport. It’s not always easy, but so far I’ve managed to get organized.
Where the situation becomes really difficult is for my children’s medical appointments.
My daughter Aya is followed at the HFME for complex health issues that require specialized care. Starting in October, her care plan will intensify further: day hospitalizations, potentially a biotherapy, and a surgical operation.
For some hospital appointments, public transport journeys can take more than two hours. Some specialists my children need to see are also located outside Lyon and some places are very poorly — or not at all — served by public transport.
I also need to be able to travel to Montpellier for my son’s medical follow-up, as he also has a particular medical pathway.
With four children, including a baby, these trips become extremely complicated without a car: connections, long hours of travel, very early appointments, returns after days of hospitalization… and sometimes places I simply cannot reach easily by public transport.
I have looked for every possible solution to finance a car. I tried credit, leasing and different options, but in my situation none succeeded.
So today I find myself at a real impasse.
That is why I am allowing myself to create this fundraiser.
I am not looking for a new or luxury car. My goal is simply to buy a reliable used car, large enough for my children, so I can take them to their appointments, hospital stays and surgeries, in Lyon and outside Lyon.
This car is not a comfort for us.
It has become a necessity to properly ensure my children’s medical care.
If you can contribute, even a few euros, it will help us tremendously.
And if you cannot contribute, a simple share can make a huge difference. The more this fundraiser is seen, the better our chance of reaching our goal.
I am not used to asking for help, but today I put my pride aside for my children.
